Year five
Living life with no tomorrow
Praying for things sublime.
Nothing Stops the Relentless March of old father time.
Coming up on the anniversary
Of pains, tears and sorrow.
I've grown weary of the struggle
That arduous endless climb.
Little has changed emotionally
But physical has taken a dive.
Aging has its consequences
And the mortal coil subsides.
Joints muscles body functions
depreciates continuously. Speed strength and memory
And loss of senses coincide.
I deeply miss my sweet love
More than I can ever bear.
Endless times I sit for hours
Dreaming of her in prayer.
With my Cathy in a rowboat
A lake with lily pads and doves.
The mossy limbs kiss the water
Like strands of silvery hair.
Awake thus dreams dissipates
Find alone in an empty room.
Four gray walls surrounds me
In silent darkness like a tomb.
Pray to God I can be with her
I wait in baited anticipate.
Having no other alternatives
Strung like threads on a loom.
Every strand has a sorrow
Every yarn a stream of tears.
Weaving the fabric of my life
With what remaining years.
I pray that God is listening
And what I hope will follow. Close my eyes the last time
I will see Cathy.... My Dear

I see you Face
I SEE YOU FACE
Slowly as darkness fills the evening
I see your face
Upon my wakening in the morning
I see your face
Remembrance and admiring your artistry
I see your face
Brings back to focus such sweet memories
I see your face
Witnessing Gwii in a pookie manner
I see your face
Watching Devin playing his NBA gamer
I see your face
Slow walks through the Mall
I see your face
Alone in hollow rooms and vacuous halls
I see your face
Fervent scenes and melodious love songs
I see your face
Thoughts of happier times that are long gone
I see your face
Feeling and wondering what to be my fate
I see your face
Standing at the mantel at Chris and Cate's
I see your face
Slowly as darkness fills the evening
I see your face
Upon my wakening in the morning
I see your face
Remembrance and admiring your artistry
I see your face
Brings back to focus such sweet memories
I see your face
Witnessing Gwii in a pookie manner
I see your face

I see your face
Standing at the mantel at Chris and Cate's
I see your face

Mother's day poem
Cathy is the love of my life
in all her glorious splendor,
She now lives in my heart and mind
and I will miss her forever.
Cathy was a mother, like all mothers
with tender loving care,
She devoted herself to everyone else
and always gave more than her share.
I see the world differently
through the cloudy lens of sorrow,
I sit in darkness till twilight
with no plans for tomorrow.
life and joy at a sudden stop
with the passing of one so dear,
Happiness and laughter dissipates
like rain in the valley of tears.
I now understand sweet sorrow
and what those two words share
Memories of sweet times with Cathy
and sorrows too hard to bear.
I have always realized
that passing is part of life
We all face that ultimate end
amid our struggles and strife.
Life goes on in this world
And watch as passers by,
Father time relentless march
ignoring our bootless cries.
We as mortals on this earth
posses a common attribute,
God gave us the gift of love
encouraging us to distribute.
Cathy was the embodiment of love
and nothing more need I say.
So I'm extending hers and mine
this...... Mother's Day.
Cathy is the love of my life
in all her glorious splendor,
She now lives in my heart and mind
and I will miss her forever.

Four years 6 months
Four years 6 months
Slowly walks hand-in-hand in the Twilight
Shadows fade in the brilliant moonlight
Warmth felt tingling in my fingertips
As I embrace my love in a kiss
She looked radiant in the silver light
Just like glitter that is taking flight
Moonlight cast many shades of grey
But her smile to me was as clear as day
I felt like a king in her embrace
I stare persistently at your face
There we stood bathe in silvery moonlight
Holding each other..oh so tight
No one need tell me how the love must feel
I have come to realize what is real
The giving and sharing in it's totality
Is the gift to humanity from God almighty
Slowly walks hand-in-hand in the Twilight
Shadows fade in the brilliant moonlight
Warmth felt tingling in my fingertips
As I embrace my love in a kiss
She looked radiant in the silver light
Just like glitter that is taking flight
