Year Eight

God gave me a taste of life that was so sweet and so inviting that I, to this day, yearned for more. It was a nectar composed of boundless Joy with the ingredient to rejuvenate every senses of the Soul. Cathy once told me that I fulfilled all her worldly dreams. Little did I realize "THEN" that she fulfilled all of mine. Life Treasures come in many forms. I've come to realize that possessions and material things are not among them. The people you love, the time spent with them, being the recipient of their smiles and laughter and being part of their life, like Cathy was to me, are the treasures in life to embrace. Those are the richest you take with you when you shuffle off your mortal coil. Free will is God's gift and it's your choice to protect, to love to choose or equally to discard to hate or deny. Nothing on this earth has greater rewards than love. It's not to say that finding it is Utopia, and in some cases it can be a curse. But in its purest form, nothing will ever come closer. Love without conditions. Love without exceptions. Love without constraints and the same love reciprocated equally. The dark clouds of aging is a demise that awaits us all. Into the folds of time Lost into the pages of history. Consumed by a barren and desolate mine, Memory washes away like bits of sand on the beach of consciousness. Forever fading like footprints after each incoming wave. All That Remains is the desperate grasp and the fleeting notion that once happiness walked side-by-side with me. I love you, Cathy. Miss you.
